And, of course, it’s the point where we’re halfway from the winter solstice to its summer complement. Sort of like a coming and a going. Helping me think about recent events in my life and what’s coming down the road . . .

Spring Forward
When a powerful and wet snowstorm hit in my area in January, we lost power and were housebound for days. Which provided a silver lining: I was able to think about my next book with no distractions. Other than staying warm, keeping the candles lit, and saving as much food as possible, of course.
And I was so excited about my progress on the new book that I decided to skip my regular trip to the beach at the Outer Banks of North Carolina and just keep working on my concepts, research, and writing.
